The Inspiration
Inspired by music, nature, and life experiences, I set out to reimagine my relationship with creation. My goal is for every piece created for Mack To The Future Arts to bind a relationship between artist (me) and viewer (you) through these journeys that create them.
Why? Because I believe that the story behind each piece of art matters just as much as how the viewer connects or perceives each piece. I wanted to share my inspirations through prints, jewelry, and more, making your connection to each design more valuable.
Each artwork or piece created for Mack To The Future Arts is hand painted, made or designed by me, the artist, behind this page. Many designs are heavily influenced by a song I’m into or how a specific song makes me feel. Can you spot any of your favorite songs hidden in some titles of the art?
Other heavy influences for my creation process are both the places I live or travel to, and the journeys I’ve endured along the way. You can see some of those reflections in the more detailed pieces, like Velvet Desert, which inspired by my two week solo camping trip in Utah in June 2021. My Story
My name is Mack and I’m the artist behind Mack To The Future Arts! Most of my loved ones call me Z, which is why you may notice my artwork is signed “zg” :)
I started creating artwork of all kinds just about as soon I was able to hold a pencil. I have continued to grow my skills throughout the last 15-20 years through both professional training and education, as well as creating for the sole purpose of expression. Each piece I share through my small business values the journey of expression and joy of creating fine art.
With the pandemic happening in 2020, I had an influx of free time and space to redefine my art style. In this time frame, I started to experiment with gouache and watercolor paints on a new drafting table with paintbrushes right out of the box. I had so much fun improving my technique and exploring new styles, and I am so excited to share it through Mack To The Future Arts!
I’ve been operating Mack To The Future Arts for nearly five years now. I have high hopes of it growing into a stable small business with the help of social media marketing, my husband, Joe, and my Australian Cattle Dog, Bingo, of course!
